When you decide to take an open voucher you get plenty of chance to enjoy all the beautiful surroundings and sights. After all, you see the best things when you’re on the road and now you don�t have to deal with other people or someone�s time schedule, just total freedom: just do whatever you want and in your own pace.
The way it works
So, what exactly is an open voucher? Well, it’s basically the discovery of your destination on your own. When you arrive on the airport, we will supply you with a rental car, the amount of vouchers of your choice and the needed travel information which includes a detailed map of the roads and a list of all the hotels so you’ll be ready to hit the road and start your voyage of discovery!
Your first overnight stay will be the only stay we’ll arrange for you, but the other reservations are up to you. Just pick any hotel on the list, fill in the voucher and your stay is arranged without any problems. We make sure you’ll have the best hotels, so that during your trip, you spend your nights in the most comfortable hotels. Our advice is to contact the hotels before hand, this way you they know you�re coming and you won’t experience any problems. Below, you can check out the list of our hotels.

To make it easier for you, we offer you 2 options:
- A rental car at your arrival and drive to the pre-booked hotel yourself.
- A private transfer at your arrival to the pre-booked hotel. The car will be brought to the hotel on day 2.( additional costs)
Please pay attention, this is very important!
Because of the high season, the open voucher is NOT available in most of the hotels. This is during the following time periods:
Between:
- December 20th - 1st of March
- April 9th - April 17th ( Easter/ Holly Week)
- During Christmas and New year

Recommendation:
We do not advice the open voucher program for popular tourist areas, especially not during high season.
Conditions:
- The vouchers are only valid at hotels on published list.
- High season: Valid 1st of December - 1st of May
- Green season: Valid 1st of May - November 30th
- First night reservation is pre-booked by Exotic Travel.
- The availability of the hotel rooms cannot be guaranteed
- We advise the client to contact the hotel of his/hers choice at least 24 hours before the arrival, for the availability of the rooms. Mention you’re traveling with an open voucher. Earlier reservations are not possible.
- The clients can make their own reservations by telephone or ask for availability showing your open voucher at the reception desk of each listed hotel.
- The hotel reserves its own right to accept your reservation or to give you a room upon arrival depending on availability.
- Children staying with adults are free of charge excepting for breakfast.
- The Open Vouchers purchased are not refundable or endorsable.
- Upon arrival at the airport the client will receive a rented car, the purchased per night-vouchers, a map and list of hotels included in the program as well as information about Costa Rica.
